Case Study: New eLearning PortalMarketing Strategy

e-learning platform - The Learning Network
After acquiring multiple top-tier eLearning software and custom solutions businesses, it was time for this technology aggregator to organize and leverage its expertise and potential.

Toronto-based Pluribus Technologies specializes in acquiring and enhancing small B2B software companies across North America. Pluribus provides liquidity and leverages the experience of the management teams to grow these businesses and create significant value. Having made several acquisitions in the eLearning space, Pluribus asked Afdonex to work with their Raleigh NC Marketing Director to identify the synergies across these e-Learning products and service businesses, creating a scenario wherein “1 + 1 = 3”.

challenge

The challenge was to quickly evaluate a large volume of disparate data and information and identify the relevant patterns for positioning. In this case, we were simultaneously evaluating nine different product and service offerings across five companies in 3 countries and spanning a dozen client industries. Our task was to develop an effective marketing strategy for an aggregated all-in-one eLearning solutions portal called The Learning Network (TLN).

solution

The solution steps we took were:

  • First, we developed a detailed data & info dashboard for each product and service.
  • Gathered marketing and sales activities info for strategy planning.
  • Interviewed each company’s CEOs and product leads to understand their SWOT and their customer profiles and competitive situation.
  • Determined the mapping of ideal solutions and target industries.
  • Ensured there were defined UVPs and USPs for each product/service.
  • Consolidated our findings and prepared TLN’s 2022 Marketing Strategy.

results

So, how did we do?

  • We created a 12-month marketing strategy & recommended structure for TLN.
  • Stated a 3-month, step-by-step launch plan.
  • We developed TLN’s Purpose, Mission, Solution, UVP and USP statements.
  • Defined cross-sell up-sell opportunities across the network matrix of products/services.
  • Today, The Learning Network site live is live and generating leads; and
  • The ongoing cadence of growth marketing and sales activities has begun.
  • Pluribus (PLRB-X) reported a 217% revenue increase in Q4-2022 to $6.8 Mil.
  • With a wealth of expertise & proprietary solutions, the future is bright for TLN.
